Clubs

We are what we eat. To avoid future lifestyle sickness for our future leaders we create awareness on nutrition and healthy lifestyle in the schools to encourage the little ones adapt a healthy lifestyle that promotes healthy eating and physical exercises from the start, which will curb future lifestyle illness.

We encourage these children to be nutrition ambassadors in their families and amongst their peers.

WASH
Water
Sanitation &
Hygiene

Water is life yet it is not accessible by all. We appreciate that the vulnerable people do not have clean and safe water and therefore work together to provide filtration and chlorination water bucket systems.

Reproductive
Health

In a new age, girls in both primary and secondary school are becoming more sexually active as they discover their sexuality and as they brace being young adults. Because of this young girl between the ages of 11 and 18 need care and advice as they form a crucial vulnerable group.

Maternal
and
child care

Child bearing age women, pregnant women & lactating mothers

In a marginalised community or as a vulnerable person, pregnancy and motherhood come with many challenges that include difficult access to pre-natal and post-natal clinics and poor nutrition which may lead to infant or maternal mortality.

We therefore reach out to this group of women and offer child survival training using the care groups model. Neighbor women groups and support groups are formed to create a wider outreach, create ownership of the program and to offer moral support and sharing to each other.

Single under-age mothers

In todays era, teenagers are sexually active early in life and the number of vulnerable underage pregnancies are on the rise.

Fearful, traumatized and ashamed, these group of girls find it difficult to go for clinics. We reach out to encourage and walk this journey with them, discouraging abortion which may lead to deaths while encouraging self love, self acceptance and restoring their dignity.

Growth Monitoring and Promotion

To achieve our goal of a healthy community we continuously access and monitor the nutritional status and progress of the community (height, weight, M.U.A.C) especially expectant mothers and children under 19 years old while giving them the nutritious messages and advice on their diet according to their resources.

By taking the weight, height and mid circumference, this determines the community nutritional status. Using the collected data, we can follow up the development of the children.
